Remnants of the Samaritan Temple and City on Har Grizim
and also of a later Roman church
Is it possible that the Mishna's "sighting of the pigeon on Har Grizim"
was in this church and not in the Samaritan temple?
The Samaritans appear to abhor idol worship
believing strongly in the One God.
Some Samaritans claim that there yet never was a temple,
and await for it to come down, whole, from heaven.
However, all agree that this is the site of the 12 stones
on which the entire Torah was written by Yehoshua
